PLEX Procedure in Action

What is Therapeutic Plasma Exchange?

Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE/PLEX) is a groundbreaking procedure that removes old plasma and replaces it with a 5% albumin solution, a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound.

This process clears harmful age-related compounds, resets body systems, reduces inflammation, and activates stem cells to boost health and combat disease. PLEX represents a paradigm shift in how we approach health and longevity.

Your plasma accumulates harmful compounds over time: inflammatory cytokines, oxidized proteins, and senescent factors that accelerate aging. PLEX removes these substances while introducing powerful therapeutic properties through albumin replacement.

How Therapeutic Plasma Exchange Transforms Your Health

Clears Age-Related Compounds

Removes inflammatory molecules, oxidized proteins, and senescent factors that accumulate with age, restoring youthful cellular function and vitality.

Resets Body Systems

Restores optimal signaling between organs and tissues, resetting metabolic, immune, and regenerative systems to more youthful states of operation.

Reduces Inflammation

The 5% albumin solution provides powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, combating chronic inflammation, a root cause of aging and disease.

Activates Stem Cells

Fresh plasma creates an environment that awakens dormant stem cells, enhancing your body's natural regenerative capacity and repair mechanisms.

Boosts Overall Health

Patients report increased energy, improved cognitive function, enhanced physical performance, and an overall sense of renewed vitality.

Combats Disease

By addressing underlying inflammatory and degenerative processes, PLEX helps prevent and manage chronic diseases while promoting longevity.

The Therapeutic Plasma Exchange Process

A safe, sophisticated procedure performed by trained medical professionals in a comfortable clinical setting.

STEP 01

Vascular Access

IV access is obtained in each arm, similar to a routine blood draw. This provides the access point for the exchange process.

STEP 02

Plasma Separation

Your blood flows through an advanced apheresis machine that gently separates plasma from blood cells using centrifugal technology.

STEP 03

Albumin Replacement

Old plasma containing inflammatory compounds is removed. Fresh 5% albumin solution is introduced as a powerful antioxidant replacement.

STEP 04

Return & Renewal

Your blood cells, now suspended in rejuvenating albumin solution, are returned to your body, beginning cellular renewal.

Dr. Allen P. Green

Board-Certified Clinical Pathologist & Apheresis Specialist

"I envisioned becoming a 'super personal trainer' who could optimize people's lives from every angle. This vision led me to medical school, and ultimately to therapeutic plasma exchange."

Dr. Green's path to medicine was unconventional. After serving in the Active Duty Air Force as a squadron physical training leader and working as a personal trainer, he realized he wanted to address health holistically. This led him to medical school and ultimately to specializing in clinical pathology and therapeutic plasma exchange.

His fascination with PLEX began during medical school when he discovered its profound applications for longevity and Alzheimer's disease treatment. He completed his residency at UT Southwestern under Dr. Ravi Sarode, one of the world's foremost experts in apheresis and transfusion medicine, and established a professional relationship with pioneer Dr. Dobri Kiprov.

With over 500 TPE procedures focused on biological age reversal and prevention of age-related diseases, Dr. Green now serves as Associate Medical Director at Global Apheresis, where he leads clinical operations and research initiatives. He also serves as medical director for Global Apheresis affiliate partnerships, expanding access to evidence-based therapeutic apheresis nationwide through clinical training, protocol development, and quality oversight.
